Slowly but surely, three-year-olds eligible to the $1.5 million Pepsi North America Cup are surfacing. A pair came out this morning at Mohawk Racetrack

and put in qualifying miles, while a solid open trotter on the WEG circuit also came off the shelf.

In what was his first charted line since last fall's Ontario Sires Stakes Super Finals, No Pan Intended colt OK Boromir captured the first qualifier in 1:59.1 over an off track. The NA Cup eligible left from the rail, sat second through a :57.3 opening half and hit the three-quarters marker first in 1:27.4. With Luc Ouellette in the bike, the Frank Baker, Jr.-trained colt came home in :31.2 to record a one-length victory in 1:59.1.

The track was rated 'fast,' but a two second allowance in time was given.

Buffalo Rome, the other Cup eligible at Mohawk this morning, finished second to OK Boromir after running behind the gate. The Rene Laarman-trained and Jody Jamieson-driven Western Ideal colt was putting in his second qualifying performance of the year.

Reve D Amerik, the Ben Baillargeon-conditioned Fill V gelding, put in his first charted line since September 8 of last year during Race 5. The seven-year-old was driven by Sylvain Filion this morning and did work on the engine before finishing more than five lengths back, trotting his mile in 2:02.3.
