Some Royalty continued her recent dominance in Thursday’s co-feature at Saratoga Casino Hotel.
The Angus Mac Donald-trained four-year-old wrapped up her 2017 season with an open-length victory in the non-winners of two lifetime condition. Some Royalty’s winning ways carried over to the ’18 campaign as she won her first three starts of the year heading into Thursday’s try in the $7,500 co-feature for New York sired trotters.
Leading driver Billy Dobson got a pocket trip on Thursday for the Mac Donald Stable’s new star and pulled the pocket heading to three quarters. The mare drew away from her rivals to win by almost six lengths, stopping the timer in 1:58.1 as the race’s 3-5 betting favourite.
The other co-feature was won by Amazing Sevens (Chapter Seven), who for the second straight week scored in 1:57.4 with Frank Coppola, Jr. in the sulky.
Live racing continues on Friday evening with a 6:45 p.m. first post.
