Whotookwhat converted a perfect, pocket trip into a victory in Wednesday’s $25,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred Handicap Trot at The Meadows, and in doing so she celebrated the 48th win of her distinguished career.
Even-money favourite In Focus Hanover worked hard for the early lead, then faced pressure from a parked out Morguns Sweetheart. That was all the help Whotookwhat and trainer/driver Ray Paver needed, as the seven-year-old daughter of Inquirer brushed by the tiring leader in the “Lightning Lane” to score in 1:57.3.
Whybabywhy was second best, while Toms OK Lady rallied for the show dough.
William and Barbara Paull own Whotookwhat, who has earned $591,539 in 130 lifetime starts.
