Mainline Hall Scores 50th Win

After 300 career starts, 11-year-old Mainline Hall paced home for his 50th career victory on Tuesday (March 19).

Competing at Northfield Park on Tuesday night, Mainline Hall led through fractions of :28.2, :58.1 and 1:27, before stopping the clock in 1:56.2, finishing three-quarters of a length in front of his closest competitor, I Need A Drink (Chris Page). He returned $4.00 to win.

Pine Grove Stables of Parkman, Ohio owns Mainline Hall. Northfield Park's leading trainer Harla Renae Loney trains the gelding and Aaron Merriman drove him to this milestone triumph.

In those 300 career starts, Mainline Hall has won 50 times, while finishing second and third 35 and 40 times respectively. The son of Cambest - Manthas Love has career earnings of $168,901 and a lifetime mark of 1:53 taken at The Red Mile at age 10. The pacer’s richest win was for a purse of $22,500 in a stake race at Yonkers Raceway in 2007.
