It's only fitting that harness racing news from Ireland should be published on St. Patrick's Day.
A group of representatives from Ireland were in the U.S. this past weekend, promoting one of their major events: the Ladbrokes Vincent Delaney Memorial.

The story of Vincent Delaney and his family was the basis for the 2015 International Media Award's Best News Article, presented at the recent World Trotting Conference in Australia.
“We have developed this race weekend into something unique,” Delaney said late last week. “It’s sort of the Little Brown Jug, Hambletonian and Gold Cup & Saucer all rolled into one with an Irish twist to it!"
Delaney and his entourage made visits to Freehold, The Meadows and Meadowlands Racetrack, featured as a special guest featured on The Meadowlands' in-house broadcast.
The racetrack that hosts the Delaney Memorial, Portmarnock Raceway, is currently seeking feedback on a subscription-based live streaming platform that would allow international viewers to watch Irish harness racing for a fee.
