Open trotter Neighsay Hanover joined harness racing's millionaire club on Friday night while making his six-year-old debut at Yonkers Raceway.

Neighsay Hanover was just a couple hundred dollars away from the milestone entering the race and winnings from a close second-place finish helped push him into the elite earnings bracket.

Driven by Jeff Gregory, the son of Muscles Yankee and Nans Conway sat third at the rail for most of the mile in the co-featured $33,000 Open Handicap Trot and came on between horses to finish three-quarters of a length behind 1:56.3 winner Coach Fox. His career bankroll climbed to to $1,008,045.

Trainer Raymond Schnittker shares ownership of the new millionaire with Theodore Gewertz, Charles Iannazzo and Fam Alber Horse Racing LL. Lifetime, Neighsay Hanover boasts a record reading 19-12-12 in 77 starts.
