The Lakeshore Horse Raceway group will be making a presentation regarding their new not-for-profit racetrack proposal to the City Of Windsor Council on Monday, March 18.
The Lakeshore Horse Raceway group will be the first delegation to make their presentation on Monday evening at 6 p.m. at the Windsor City Hall, 350 City Hall Square West, 3rd Floor, Windsor, Ont.
Supporters can congregate in the City Hall lobby at 5:30 p.m. The meeting is expected to take less than an hour as delegations are only allowed 10 minutes each for presentations.
The board of directors for Lakeshore Horse Raceway are also scheduled to meet with the OMAFRA panel and the Ontario Racing Commission on Tuesday, March 19 at the OMAFRA office in Guelph, Ont. The group will discuss its proposal for a new Lakeshore track and 10 race dates this summer.
In late February, Essex County council voted to support the Lakeshore Raceway project and help the track's battle for funding left in limbo by the closure of Windsor Raceway. The track has also received the backing of Leamington Mayor John Paterson.
