After a terrific two-year-old season on the New York fair circuit, Jody Weidman trainee Flow With Joe scored his second straight win as a sophomore on Wednesday afternoon (March 11), capturing a $6,000 conditioned event at Saratoga Casino Hotel.
Dan Cappello Jr. rallied the son of Roll With Joe off cover, closing from fifth in the six-horse field turning form home to out-close his rivals in 1:57.4 and upset at 9-1. Flow With Joe has now prevailed in nine of his 11 lifetime starts and could be poised for another solid season in New York Sire Stakes competition.
Live racing continues on Thursday afternoon (Maarch 12) at Saratoga, with first post time set for 12 noon. There is a $5,000 guaranteed pool in the Pick-5, which begins in the first race.
