It has been reported that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie this week asked New Jersey Sports and Entertainment Authority member Joseph Spicuzzo to

relinquish his post on the board.

On March 7, Spicuzzo was arrested and charged with bribery on allegations that he accepted bribes of more than $50,000 in 2007 and 2008.

An article on wnyc.org cites Spicuzzo's attorney as saying that the former sheriff has since stepped down from his position on the NJSEA board.

In other New Jersey news, the wnyc.org report states that the stalled mega-mall Xanadu, part of the Meadowlands entertainment complex, is in need of major re-working.

The article cites sources close to the talks between mall developer Triple 5 and state interests as saying that Triple 5 currently finds Xanadu in need of serious re-working.
