Miracle Matts Wins Final CDP Feature

Miracle Matts, in line to Corey MacPherson, wired the field to win the last feature event of the season at Red Shores at the Charlottetown Driving Park on a special O’Brien Awards race program Friday evening. The time of the mile was 1:58.3.

MacPherson did the driving for owner Blois MacPhail of Cornwall, P.E.I. The race was named in honour of the town of Montague during a special O’Brien program recognizing Island communities and their contribution to harness racing. Nobestbfor finished second with Le Fugueur third.
 
Driver Ron Gass enjoyed success in both trot divisions staged on the night with Delta Dental and Caliban Hanover taking their respective classes.

Lets Make Ideal reached a special career milestone on Friday's card as he scored his 50th career win in the eighth race. Walter Cheverie drove the 10-year-old Western Ideal gelding for trainer Jonah Moase and owner Mikaela Lustic of Cornwall, P.E.I.
 
Jason Hughes enjoyed a driving triple on the final card of the season.
