The world of harness racing last saw Walter Case at Plainridge Racecourse in November 2008, winning 10 races in 25 starts after five years away from racing. Then nothing

.

Trot Insider has learned that Case is currently under parole in New York. Case stated he is doing well, with "no problems." This winter Case spent his time jogging while also working with horses in New York state, taking things one day at a time.

The winner of over 11,000 races in his career, Case does hope to drive again and will apply for licensing at some point in the future. After serving a five-year sentence for felonious assault, Case is now in the midst of a 24-month probationary period.

Good luck to You Walter Case Jr.

I was very upset at times when I bet horses and You would come and beat them almost all the time. As I kept watching You drive I came to understand that You are the best and I had to change My handicapping method. Hope to see You back in the bike A.S.A.P. and maybe even come to Canada's big track to drive.

hi i am david conner i worked with walter case one of the nicest guys you want to know. He gave me one of his helmets so hope see him drive again because we all make mistakes in life.

Not probably but is the best driver on a half mile track ever, glad to see he is coming back, he makes everyone on a racetrack step up to their A game all the time, wish he would come to michigan, if it lasts that long.

Good Luck in your continued rehabilitation Walter - still one of the most gifted reinsmen I ever had the good fortune to see race.
