In a special ceremony Thursday, February 5 at Truro Raceway, Phil Pinkney finally got to put his hands on his O'Brien Award of Horsemanship
.
Bob Taylor, general manager of the Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition, and Standardbred Canada director Scott Daniels presented Pinkney with the award.
Among other things, Pinkney told the Truro Daily News, “just the magnitude of it. It’s quite a thing.”
