E L Rocket has been in the news as of late, as word recently broke that he has returned to Canada to stand stud in the Maritimes. It has now been announced that another stud is being introduced to the nation’s east-coast breeding ranks.

According to a report by The Guardian, 2018 Governor’s Plate winner Czar Seelster will now stand stud on Prince Edward Island.

In addition to having won the 2018 Governor’s Plate, Czar Seelster also won the James ‘Roach’ MacGregor Gold Cup and Saucer consolation that season.

The career winner of 35 races and $214,090 in purses was trained by Greg Weatherbee and was retired later in his 2019 campaign.

Although a specific breeding farm was not mentioned in The Guardian article, it was stated that the plan is for the 11-year-old son of Stonebridge Regal to be made eligible to the Atlantic Sires Stakes program for this year’s breeding season.
