Taking advantage of a suicidal first quarter, Ole Miss waited patiently in fifth before pouncing on the leaders and capturing Tuesday afternoon’s $22,500 Filly & Mare Not Listed Preferred/Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows.

Do Me Honor won that duel for the early lead but had to pace in :26.3 to get there. That set the stage for the first-over move of Ole Miss, who inched away in the lane for Mike Wilder and scored in 1:55.2. Tremor Hanover was second, while Do Me Honor saved show.

Randy Bendis trains Ole Miss, a five-year-old daughter of Art Major-Biloxi who extended her career bankroll to $247,136, and owns with Mike Novosel, Jr., Reed Broadway and Thomas Pollack.

Wilder drove four winners and Dave Palone three on the 16-race card.
