Life Source, p,7,1:48 ($1,962,671), was humanely euthanized at Peninsula Farm on Feb. 17, 2011 after a chronic battle with arthritic and respiratory

problems.

The son of Life Sign - Shes Pure Silk - Nihilator was foaled, raised and sold by Peninsula Farm as a yearling for $25,000. He raced successfully from 1999 at age two, through 2005, taking winning marks each season. His biggest win came in the $250,000 Classic Series final in 2002.

Life Source was trained by Joe Holloway during his two- and three-year-old seasons and later by his owner Richard Banca. He lived his last six years at Peninsula Farm where his life began.

RIP you beautiful boy. No more pain for you :( You will be missed.

What a classy race horse. Although it was sad to hear his life ended, it was comforting to know it ended where it began - with his farm family.
