According to a published report, there has been some talk of erecting a hotel and convention centre at
Kawartha Downs in Fraserville, Ont.
An article today on mykawartha.com makes reference to the endeavour via a report outlining a recent infrastructure announcement.
The article quotes Reeve Cathcart as saying that his township did submit an application for funding to help with putting sewers and water in Fraserville. In part, the sewers and water would be used by a hotel and convention centre in Fraserville. Cathcart noted that the township doesn't have enough capital to complete such a project.
"We need sewer and water for Sysco foods and for Kawartha Downs to build a hotel and convention centre," Cathcart said. "Right now they can't go ahead without sewer and water."
