It has been reported that a horse and 28-year-old woman have been killed after a hyperbaric chamber exploded at an equine centre in Ocala, Florida this morning

.

An article on ocala.com has cited officials with the Marion County Fire Rescue as saying that the deceased 28-year-old is Erica Marshall. Another woman, 33-year-old Sorcha Moneley, was seriously injured and was taken by helicopter to a local hospital with undisclosed injuries.

The report explains that the horse was inside a hyperbaric chamber at the Kesmarc Florida equine centre when it became agitated and started kicking. The article states that the explosion occurred after workers went in to turn the chamber off.

The article has quoted an unnamed neighbour that lives roughly one and a quarter miles away as saying that she heard a sound “louder than a sonic boom” a little after 9:00 a.m.
