Domitian Hanover One Of Five For Pierce

Domitian Hanover gave driver Ron Pierce his fourth of five wins and trainer Josh Green his second winner of the night in the $26,000 Open Handicap while 9-1 Yankee Fortysix won the $24,000 Four-Year-Old pace on Monday, February 1

In a tight finish Josh Green's Domitian Hanover nosed out Kellys Spur and Corey Callahan after a long head-to-head duel to the finish line in 1:51 to win the $26,000 feature race. Three Of Spaces, last week's winner, had to settle for third with Jon Roberts in the bike. Following a short rest, Green brought the Camluck-Debras Charm six-year-old back to the races with a win two-weeks back and after leading until late in the stretch last time tired to finish a close-up fourth.

In the meet's first $24,000 Four-Year-Old pace, Bonnie Benson's Yankee Fortysix closed fast in a: 28.1 final panel to notch a lifetime best 1:51.2 victory with Brad Hanners at the controls. Denim Hanover finished second for Tim Tetrick while front-pacing Estero Bay was a game third for Tony Morgan.

Blissfull Silence scored the longest price win of the program when Tony Morgan put the 38-1 shot Blissfull Hall-Golden Silence gelding into the lead and never looked back for a 1:52.1 triumph in the $23,000 Winners-Over pace. Surprisingly, in his last two starts, Blissfull Silence was a close-up second after winning the one before. Thats Justice closed strongly for Vince Copeland to finish second with Cyclone Cully N and Tim Ettrick a close third.

Three Point Acres' Cool Cal was Ron Pierce's fifth winner in the first of two $18,000 Male paces. The 8-1 Cole Muffler-Annacrombie gelding held off Desmet (Tim Tetrick) and Mr Apples (Montrell Teague) at the wire in 1:52.4.

Dave McCaffrey and Z Tam Racing's Bushwood Z Tam closed out the program with a 1:52.2 score, Tim Tetrick drove the Sportsmaster-CR First Lady gelding to his second win of the night. Allamerican Pewter (Ross Wolfenden) was next in front of Im Outtahair (Montrell Teague).

George Dennis took Victor Vuitton N right to the front en route to a 1:52.1 victory in $15,000 Male pace. Light Up The Sky (Montrell Teague), second and Talbot Redneck (Frank Milby) third, surrounded the winner in the 1:52.1 photo. The New Zealand bred altered son of Dream Away-Paris Affaire scored his first win of the year for owners George Wagner and Don Reed.

In the $30,000-$40,000 Claiming pace, while Eoos (Ross Wolfenden), Jennaration (Roger Plante) and Music Again (Corey Callahan) engaged in a three-wide battle for the lead heading to the half mile, Vince Copeland driving Wynnfield Flash was biding his time waiting until reaching the stretch before rushing down the lane to score a 14-1 victory in 1:51.3 for owner-trainer Brian Callahan. Jennaration put in a stoic mile to finish second with Print It (Brad Hanners) coming on for third.

The longest price in a day-long longshot card was turned in by George & Tina Dennis Inc. and ASK W Stables' Lawsuit off at 30-1 odds to win a $13,200 4&5-Year-Old Male pace in 1:55.2, also a career best clocking. Jot (Fran Milby) was runner-up. Cold Cape Cod (Eddie Davis Jr.) finished third.
