Stakes winning trotter Lindys Tru Grit will be joining the stallion ranks in 2018, standing his first season in Ontario.
A son of Cantab Hall out of the Valley Victory mare True Diva (she a full sister to superstar Lindy Lane), Lindys Tru Grit took a mark of 1:52.1 and banked more than $518,000 on the track, defeating the likes of millionaires Creatine and Spider Blue Chip.
Lindys Tru Grit will stand his first season at MERF (Milverton Equine Reproduction Facility) for $3,000. Foals will be eligible to the Ontario Sires Stakes, with multiple mare discounts available. The first 50 mares booked will receive a $500 discount on stud fee.
"He's registered as brown, but he's a black stallion with impeccable pedigree, conformation and manners," said Doug Nash. "It's my belief that there's a margin of profitability for any serious breeder for the market."
According to Nash, Lindys Tru Grit has already received interest from breeders in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Quebec and Ontario.
Fresh and frozen semen will be available. For more information contact MERF at 519-595-2031 or Nash at 519-573-5804.
