Dismissed at odds of 5-1, two-time Pacer of the Year at Saratoga Casino Hotel Artful Way returned to the winner's circle with a 1:53.2 effort to take the $20,000 Open Pace on Saturday, Dec. 8.
Driver Frank Coppola Jr. marched Artful Way for the front early before yielding to Starznheaven. The Jackie Greene-trained son of Artistic Fella drafted from the pocket until Coppola Jr. popped wide into the lane and overtook the pacesetter nearing the wire. Starznheaven held second while Hug The Wind N finished third.

Artful Way, in his seventh win of the season, returned $13.00 to win. He led an exacta and trifecta return of $71.50 and $324.00 respectfully.
