Sulky Trois Rivieres hosted a live card of racing this afternoon but in lieu of a horsemen's boycott the 10-race program featured only 33 participants.
Most races featured three to four-horse fields with an array of scratches while Race 4 went off with one lone competitor. Race 10 featured the largest field of five horses.
The boycott is in response to news that Attractions Hippiques may not fulfill its race date contract unless it holds 50 cards of racing. Next Sunday's card would mark the 49th card of the year.

Je lève mon chapeau à tout ceux qui ont bien voulu retirer leur cheval, à tout les conducteurs qui ont refusé de participer au programme de course de Trois Rivières. J'espère que ceux et celle qui ont pris la décision de faire courir quand même leur cheval, y pense deux fois pour le programme de dimanche prochain. Pour une fois, soyons SOLIDAIRE.
