It was announced this week that a deal had been struck to bring home former stakes winner P H Super Dave to the Maritimes. Businessman David MacDonald has purchased the pacer who has been racing the half-mile oval at Freehold Raceway.
In fact, the now five-year-old pacer took his lifetime mark over Freehold of 1:52.3h which stands as the second fastest winning trip on a half-mile track for a Maritime bred. With over $86,000 in career winnings, the son of Mantorious will start two more times in the U.S. according to MacDonald and will then come back to the care of Darren Crowe.
P H Super Dave was a stakes winning colt in the Maritimes when he was owned by the Penn Hill of Nova Scotia. MacDonald hopes the horse may be able to compete at a high level at home with his prowess for half-mile tracks.

Good to hear, good luck
Good to hear, good luck David, but why would you bring him home to race for cheap purses here in Truro. Keep him there or Dover and get your money back. Will take less time rather than racing him for purses of $1,300 or $1,500 in the Maritimes.
