Scott Zeron pushed his 2010 win total to 606 thanks in part to a five-win performance at Flamboro Downs on Thursday afternoon

.

Zeron, who continues to set personal-best numbers this season, clicked in the opener with the Joe Agostino-trained Minnesota Hanover (1:57) before returning to victory lane in Race 4 with Southwind Turbo (1:58.3). He capped off the 14-race card and his five-win day by taking the final three dashes behind Maple Run Delight (2:00.3), Casimir Just Ask (2:01) and Landfair Whiskers (2:00.2).

The productive day at the office increased the Oakville, ON sulky sitter’s purse earnings to $4,435,078 in 2010. He is just over $75,000 shy of reaching the $8 million mark in career earnings.

Dont be mad if the public is betting the driver. Thats part of handicapping. If you dont create stars out of your drivers (which are the only thing that is really static in this business) you will not get new fans out to the track. People come to the track for entertainment --- we have to build a storyline to attract new fans.

Only one of the five paid over even money!!!!

Harness racing is the only sport that would promote the school yard bully beating up the nerd and think it's news worthy. He might have won 4.4 million in purses but 72 percent of his wins are on horses that pay less then even money to the handicapper!!!You aren't going to attract new fans with payouts like that.

Horse racing is in a no win situation when they have horses that go off at less then even money in a run of the mill everyday race.If they win they don't pay anything and if they lose, the public will think racing is rigged.
