Kawartha Downs' leading driver Gord Brown dominated Saturday's 10-race card, winning six races, including the last five with horses trained by the Winacotts.
Brown earned his first victory in the fourth race with David Brown's two-year-old No Pan Intended colt Johnny Prine Tyme ($3.60), who kept his lifetime record perfect in two starts. He won by more than seven lengths in a new mark of 1:58.2.
Brown's five-race win streak began in the sixth dash with three-year-old pacing filly Part Time Lady ($3.90) romping to an eight-plus length victory. Three-year-old pacing gelding Hey Grin ($8.10) won the next dash by three lengths with Brown aboard. Eight-year-old pacer Dedalos ($9.50) prevailed by a quarter length in the following race and 10-year-old pacer Tritri ($3) opened up more than four lengths on his foes to win the ninth race. Brown's final victory was aboard six-year-old pacer Sign Of Fame ($3) in the finale.
Part Time Lady, Dedalos, Tritri and Sign Of Fame are all trained by Mark Winacott while Hey Grin is trained by Laura Winacott.
Brown's six wins pushed his seasonal total to 201 while his lifetime count climbed to 3,712.
The resident of Brighton, Ont. is currently in the midst of his eighth consecutive million-dollar plus season.
