It seems Christmas has come early for driver Scott Coulter, who scored six wins on the 12-race card at Flamboro Downs on Wednesday evening.
The resident of Brantford, Ontario used off the pace tactics to prevail in Race 4 with Hurricane Heide for twin brother Steve Coulter, who trains and owns. After the half, Coulter tipped his charge out from fifth before rolling to victory in 1:58.
Sharonas Dignity (Mike Langdon) came on for second and Lils Ideal (Paul MacKenzie) was third.
The seven-year-old Rustler Hanover mare picked up her 23rd career win and lifted her earnings to $193,107.
Coulter, a winner of 317 races this year, prevailed in Race 2 with Jcs Kadabra (2:04.2) for trainer Richard McNeill, Race 6 with Philana Chalice (1:57.1) for Larry Gorman and Race 10 with Go To Blazes (1:59.4) for Wayne Preszcator before sweeping the Daily Double aboard Benns Champion (1:59.1) for Carver Sullivan and Distinctiv Lewy (1:59) for Allan Heyman.
Coulter has recorded 2,034 wins in his career with earnings totaling over $13 million.
