According to a story on lacombeglobe.com, plans for Alberta Downs are drawing closer to completion.
The story says that only a few clauses remain to be finalized in the development agreement before county council considers giving a third reading of a pair of bylaws.
The hope is that the final details can be ironed out in the coming days, as the Town of Lacombe was set to review the location of the intersection at its December 15 meeting.

Curious to know why ASHA is
Curious to know why ASHA is telling the Standardbred people that their might be racing at Lacombe this year (2009) in April and May when the Lacombe Globe says that the owners of Alberta Downs need permits to build the Entertainment Center. I do not think they can get the permits and build the Grandstand in the next 3 months.
