If anyone wondered if the 'instant racing' experience in the state of Kentucky would be successful, all they have to do is check the positive numbers
.
An article by the Lexington Herald-Leader has cited Kentucky Horse Racing Commission numbers as stating that in October instant racing machines at the thoroughbred raceway Kentucky Downs took in just under $6.8 million in wagers. In November that number rose to $8.4 million, a 24 per cent positive spike.
The report also stated that fellow thoroughbred raceway Ellis Park plans on offering instant racing early in the new year, but that it is the only other track to have applied for the expanded gaming option thus far.
