Brosseau Bags Five At Rideau

The hottest set of hands on Sunday evening at Rideau Carleton Raceway belonged to driver Stephane Brosseau, who turned in a five-win performance on the 15-race card.

Brosseau, who has driven the winners in excess of $1 million in nine consecutive seasons, captured the opener with Dicent No (2:01.2) and returned to victory lane in Race 4 with Whims N Wishes (1:58.1).

Sams My Name (1:58) prevailed in Race 7 to complete Brosseau’s hat trick and Positivlydangerous (2:01.3) made it a Grand Slam thanks to his off-the-pace score in Race 9.

Brosseau was so productive, he even turned a five and a half-length loss with Rosy Jimmy into a win as a result of some ORC intervention. The judges took down the number of Race 12 winner, Dunmore TCB, who committed an interference infraction late in the mile.

Brosseau went surpassed $15 million in career earnings earlier this year, and he finds himself just 10 wins shy of 2,500 lifetime victories.
