Eighteen-year-old driver Vincent Langdon engineered a perfect pocket trip aboard Mach It Paid in the 10th race at Flamboro Downs on Friday night to earn his first lifetime victory

Langdon, the son of driver Mike Langdon, and Mach It Paid ($17.00) followed favourite I Am Sam Iam and driver David Duncan through fractions of :26.3, :56.3 and 1:25.2 before pulling the pocket and surging to a two and a half length victory in 1:55.4 for trainer and owner Isaac Waxman. I Am Sam Iam stayed for second while Seawind Gambler and Billy Davis Jr. finished back in third.
The resident of Ancaster, Ont. notched his first win in just five lifetime starts.
