On Monday night at Dover Downs, driver Ross Wolfenden achieved a milestone by winning his 7,000th dash win as a driver.
The win came aboard a horse that he trains, See You Tuesday.

“When I tipped him three-wide, I knew he was going to win,” said Wolfenden. “I’m glad I won the 7,000th with a horse I trained. It took a long time to get that one win.”
Wolfenden followed his famed father Peter, who was best known for his association with the great pacer, Cardigan Bay. Ross left his homeland New Zealand for the U.S. Wolfenden started his harness racing career in 1993.
“I worked for Paul Jessop and he told me that since I was training the horses you might as well drive ‘em,” said Wolfenden, who won his first harness race at Monticello Raceway and later raced on both coasts.
In New Jersey, he raced at Garden State Park, Freehold and the Meadowlands for 10 years. Wolfenden decided to move to Delaware where he has raced the last 18 years. Ross, a popular and well-liked guy, received several high fives and congratulations from horsemen and friends, despite it being the last race of the night.
