Breeders Crown champion Won The West wore down pacesetter Hypnotic Blue Chip to capture the $125,000 Indiana Pacing Derby on Saturday night at Indiana Downs giving driver Ricky Macomber Jr. one of his five wins on the card

.

Hypnotic Blue Chip (Dave Palone) fired off the gate from the outside Post 9 and carved out fractions of :26.4, :54.4 and 1:22.4 with Won The West advancing first up from fourth.

Won The West drew clear in the stretch and tripped the timer in 1:50.1 for the victory. Bettor Sweet (Peter Wrenn) finished one and a quarter length behind with Freddyscooter (Trace Tetrick) coming on for third over pocket-sitter Dali (Joshua Sutton) and Hypnotic Blue Chip.

The victory was Won The West’s seventh in 18 starts this year and boosted his seasonal bankroll to over $1.35 million for the Strollin Stable of Marion, William Robinson and James Koehler of Findlay, Ohio. The career winner of more than $3.49 million, who is trained by Ron Burke, boasts victories in the Molson Pace, U.S. Pacing Championship, Canadian Pacing Derby and Breeders Crown this year.

Driven by Dan Shetler for trainer Bobby Brower, 11-1 Allthatgltrsisgold earned the biggest victory of his career when he rallied off cover to upset Iam Bonasera in the $250,000 Circle City for three-year-old pacing colts.

Piece Of The Rock (Peter Wrenn) brushed to the lead in front of Power Of A Moment (Dave Palone) at the :28.2 opening quarter before Iam Bonasera (Dave Magee), part of the popular Erv Miller entry, took over.

Iam Bonasera marched to the half in :57.1 and three-quarters in 1:25.2 with Voomerang (Joshua Sutton) applying first over pressure and Allthatgltrsisgold following his cover.

Shetler sent his charge three-wide around the final bend and Allthatgltrsisgold locked in a duel with Iam Bonesera right to the wire. Ultimately, it was Allthatgltrsisgold who prevailed by a neck in 1:52.3. Trick Man (Ray Paver) came flying home from the backfield to show.

Allthatgltrsisgold, a son of Cams Card Shark-Glitter N Glitz, picked up his sixth win in 20 starts this season and pushed his 2010 earnings to $419,545 for Victory Hill Farm Inc. of Lagrange, Indiana.

In other stakes action, Onmyagame (1:57.1) won a $35,400 Circle City division for three-year-old trotting colts while Classic Alana (1:58.3) won the $57,500 filly trot division – both with Dave Magee in the bike.

Macomber Jr. swept both $36,000 three-year-old filly pace divisions with Western Royalty (1:55) and Ron Burke trainee Rev Me Up (1:54.4), and won the other $35,100 three-year-old trotting colt division with Sing Jesse Sing (1:56.1), also for Burke.
