Millionairess Racine Bell made her return to Saratoga Casino Hotel a winning one on Monday afternoon (Nov. 6) when the superstar overcame post eight to capture the Fillies and Mares Open Pace.

The Dave Dewhurst trainee is about reach the $200,000 mark in seasonal earnings once again this season and added to that tally by going coast-to-coast in the $15,000 feature.

Coming off back-to-back wins at Yonkers Raceway, Racine Bell powered out from post eight to make the lead in a sizzling first quarter in :26.4. The 1-5 betting favourite never faced a legitimate challenge after rattling off a half in 56 seconds and three-quarters in 1:24.3. Racine Bell powered away from the competition in the Open in 1:53.2.

The win was number eight on the season and 36 in the career of Racine Bell, who has amassed well over $1.1 million in lifetime earnings. Racine Bell is owned by Chris and Dale Lawton of New York.

Longshot HS Shauna finished second to the millionaire mare on Monday while fellow longshot Shallow (Mcgwire Sowers) earned the show spot. The exacta with the big favourite on top paid $20.60 while the triple returned $94.50.

Live harness racing continues on Tuesday with a matinee that is set to begin at noon.
