Terem Up Louie was a repeat winner in the top class at Exhibition Park Raceway on Saturday as he edged out the pacesetting Dance Hanover in a photo finish.
Dance Hanover led the short field, which was scratched down to just four starters, for most of the mile before Terem Up Louie pulled the pocket and out-sprinted him to the wire for the 1:57.4 victory by a neck. The win was Terem Up Louie's third in a row at EPR and fastest this season.
Tammy Sowers owns the four-year-old Rambaran gelding while Bo Sowers handles the training and driving duties. Stablemates Roy Orbisong and Malek Hanover completed the field.
The Sowers-trained seven-year-old mare Run To Vegas earned his first EPR win in 2:00.1 earlier on the card for owner Bill Reepmeyer.
Tommy Gunn topped all trainers sending out three winners on the eight-race card. March Past and Rockstar Bayama swept the early Daily Double with Mark Haig driving while Maid En Paris won the fifth race with Gilles Barrieau aboard.
Haig won a total of three races, also steering Joseph Michael to victory lane in 1:57.2 in the finale for trainer Eric Wilson.
