Trainer-driver Michael Downey earned star of the card honours at Exhibition Park Raceway on Saturday as he racked up four wins during the afternoon's 11-race card.
Downey won the featured 10th race with the pocket-pulling Hyperion Blue Chip ($11.50) in 1:59.4 over Kaylas Sophia and pacesetter After Lunch Larry.
In the following 11th race finale, he guided Slim N Sleek ($57.40) wire-to-wire in 2:01.2 for the pacer's 30th career victory.
Downey also scored back-to-back wins earlier on the card in the fourth and fifth races with five-race streaker Forever Finesse ($2.10) and Night Talker ($11.20).
The resident of Saint John, N.B. has trained 34 winners so far this year and 463 lifetime.
