Make it three-in-a-row and counting for Outlaw Allie Oops thanks to her front-stepping score in Friday’s $6,000 Century Milers Pacing Series at Century Mile.
The event for Alberta Sires three-year-old pacing fillies saw a field of seven face the starting gate, and the public was enamoured with Outlaw Allie Oops who was sent off as the 1-9 choice.
Outlaw Allie Oops was hustled to the lead by driver Jamie Gray, who carved out fractions of :29.4, :57.4 and 1:27.2 with the daughter of Blue Burner-Isle Of Shoals before cruising home in :31.1 to post the three-length decision over Whatineedisaman in 1:58.3. Star Of Winter took home third prize.
Joe Ratchford of Rockyview County, AB owns and trains the pacing lass who now boasts a 7-2-2 record from 19 trips to the track this season. The victory pushed her lifetime earnings over $30,000.
A clinic was put on by David Kelly when it came to training and driving. He sent out three winners form his own barn, and tacked on a pair of catch-driving scores to bring his nightly win total to five.
Kelly’s training triple was achieved thanks to wins with Whiskey Throttle (1:59.2), Bad Blood (1:58.1) and West Central Beach (1:59.4). He mapped out the winning trips for those three, and he also clicked with Ladies From Hell (1:57.2) for trainer Paul Davies and Navajo Jack (1:59.4).
