Eliminations continued for the Breeders Crown finals tonight at The Meadowlands Racetrack with five $25,000 divisions for three-year-old pacers and trotters. Winning the elim for glamour boys, Shadow Play chose Post 2, while Somebeachsomewhere drew Post 3 after accepting a bye to the final.

Poster Pin Up scored her fourth win of the season for trainer Trond Smedshammer and driver Brian Sears in impressive fashion, notching a 1:56.3 victory in her Breeders Crown elimination for sophomore filly trotters.

“The trip worked out very well for us," said Sears, an eight-time Meadowlands driving champion. "I wanted to work out a trip from off the pace, and that's just what happened. Trond (trainer Smedshammer) has done a good job of getting her ready for this race. I've driven a lot of the other horses that were in here against her and know their abilities and was hoping to use that to my advantage.”

The daughter of Andover Hall--Poster Princess-Pine Chip bested Somebody To Love (David Miller), while Stage Show (Dave Palone) was third and Kadealia (Tim Tetrick) finished fourth.

Poster Pin Up is owned by Ted Gewertz, New York, New York; the Rojan Stables of Wilmington, Delaware; and M Frank of Fair Lawn, New Jersey.

Chancey Lady pushed her career earnings to over one million dollars by winning the first of three $25,000 Breeders Crown eliminations for three-year-old pacing fillies. The bay filly was clocked in 1:53.1 in the one mile test.

This was the first time Daniel Dube had piloted the daughter of Camluck--Art of Design--Artsplace for trainer Richard Bilach and owner Niele Jiwan of Burnaby, British Columbia.

"The trainer, he just asked me to race her from behind and make the final,” Dube said. "She was super and just had a ton of talent. She was coming really strong at the end. For sure she has a great shot in the final. Why not?"

Good News Lady (Greg Grismore) hung on gamely for second, while Hannah Isabel (Yannick Gingras) picked up third and Ladycino (Tim Tetrick) notched fourth.

Supplemental entry Tug River Princess scored a decisive 1:52.3 victory in the second of three $25,000 Breeders Crown eliminations for three-year-old pacing fillies. Reined by Hall of Famer John Campbell, the daughter of Badlands Hanover-Aucryifiwanto-Au Crombie tripped the timer in 1:52.3.

"It's been an amazing year for this filly, especially when you think she started in March and now it's very late in the year," said Campbell. "She's really had a spectacular year."

Tug River Princess is trained by Ross Croghan for the Let It Ride Stables of Delray Beach, Florida; Robert Cooper Stables of Boca Raton, Florida ;and Jerry Silva, of New York. It was her 12th win this season in 18 starts.

A And Gs Confusion was a fast-closing second for driver David Miller, with Knock Three Times (Andy Miller) third and Lola Palooza (Tim Tetrick) nailed fourth.

PA Sire Stakes Champion and supplemental entry Native Bride picked up her seventh consecutive win and her 16th win in 20 tries this season for driver Brian Sears and trainer Noel Daley in the third Breeders Crown elim for three-year-old filly pacers. The daughter of Allamerican Native--Nova--No Nukes paced the mile in 1:52.2.

"She was on a role before we got her," said trainer Noel Daley. "Joe Pavia and Jay Sears had trained her down and had done really well with her before we got her. She's a very, very nice mare. She's very easy on herself and great around the barn with a super desire to win. Her attitude is terrific."

Native Bride is owned by Jay Sears and the TH Stable of Florida and New Jersey.

Kellys Keepsake (Ron Pierce) finished second, with Stylish Artist (David Miller) third and Btwnyurheartnmine (Tim Tetrick) fourth.

Shadow Play - Breeders Crown Elim

"Two great horses going at it next week--Shadow Play and Somebeachsomewhere--is certainly exciting," Miller said. "This horse gets to the lead and is very relaxed. I have to get after him now when a horse comes at him. He's really matured through this year."

Shadow Play has already won the Adios, the American National, The Windy City and The Little Brown Jug this season for trainer Dr. Ian Moore, who has already stated that his stable standout will race as a four-year-old in 2009. The black colt is owned in partnership by Blue Chip Bloodstock, Moore of P.E.I; the R G McGroup Ltd. of N.B.; and Serge Savard of Que.
