P L Pasquale took his third win in a row at Plainridge Park on Thursday, Nov. 20 with another step up in class, this time to the $35,211 Baystate Special, and he earned a new lifetime mark in the process.

P L Pasquale (Kevin Switzer Jr.) got away fifth and watched a four-horse dash for the lead that was eventually won by E R Griffin (Nick Graffam) after a speedy :26.3 quarter. E R Griffin then took his lead to the half in :54.1 and three-quarters in 1:22.2. Warrawee Yale (Brett Beckwith) was first-over at that point and was followed by P L Pasquale into last turn, but Warrawee Yale’s attack stalled and P L Pasquale was forced to go three-wide. At the top of the stretch, P L Pasquale had moved into second and then chased down E R Griffin at the line to win by a quarter-length in 1:51.2. Mansome (Ron Cushing) finished third.

P L Pasquale ($13.20) is now nine-for-27 this year for owner-trainer Neil Grass. The six-year-old gelded son of Thinking Out Loud-Pl Katnisseverdeen tallied his 25th lifetime score in 95 starts.

In the $28,169 lower-level Baystate Special pace, Jettingtomalibu (Switzer) led at every station in times of :26.4, :55.3 and 1:23.2 before bolting to the line on top by 3-1/4 lengths in 1:51.2, which was a new lifetime mark. The five-year-old Jeremes Jet-T Js Owenette gelding has won two straight for owner John Barnard and trainer Irwin Rosenthal. He paid $2.60 to win.

In the $28,169 upper-level conditioned pace, Alex Having Fun (Matty Athearn) was also a dominant winner. After posting uncontested splits of :26.1, :54.3 and 1:22.4, he opened up a five-length advantage as he entered the stretch and then jogged home under Athearn wraps to win in 1:51.1 by 3-1/4 lengths. Alex Having Fun is owned and trained by Kimberly Vafiades. The win price was $4.60.

Switzer also won with Sweet Lucky Lou (1:55.1, $3.60) and ended the day with a triple at the lines.

Live racing will resume at Plainridge Park on Friday at 1 p.m. There are only five racing days left in the 2025 season at Plainridge Park.
