Can lightning strike twice? Two of the connections of millionaire Silent Swing certainly hope so after a deal was struck for hard-hitting sophomore pacer Stonebridge Terror earlier this week for

an undisclosed amount.

This year's winner of the Upper Canada Cup and over $584,000 in lifetime purses, Stonebridge Terror was owned and trained by Jack Darling. Darling has sold the three-year-old son of Western Terror-No Paradise to the partnership of David Lumsden and Reg Petitpas.

"We really like 'Terror' as he is great to be around and very professional," Lumsden told Trot Insider. "Jack said he was as classy a horse as he has ever had. He also has high speed, is in great shape and is a winner, which is always nice."

In 2006, Petitpas and David Shea purchased a four-year-old from Darling by the name of Silent Swing, who had banked just over $460,000 in his two- and three-year-old campaigns. Now seven, Silent Swing has gone on to bank over $1.5 million with major stakes wins both north and south of the border.

"Reg had good luck buying Silent Swing from Jack and hopefully we will have the same luck with 'Terror'," continued Lumsden.

With that in mind, was Darling planning on keeping any of his sophomore standouts?

"I was planning on selling all my three-year-olds - Stonebridge Terror, Carnivore and St Lads Popcorn - in the Meadowlands Sale in January," said Darling. "Reg and Dave wanted to buy 'Terror' now so a deal was worked out.

"At this stage of my career I'm only interested in training and racing two- and three-year-olds and I'm trying to keep my stable down to 12 horses so everything is sold once the stakes races are over to make room for the yearlings."

With the deal to be officially completed today as the paperwork will be delivered to Standardbred Canada, Lumsden and Petitpas already have their latest acquisition in their care and have planned for his debut.

"He is presently at Baycairn Training Centre with Jean Louis Arsenault, who will train," confirmed Lumsden. "We will likely start him a week Saturday [the 28th] at Woodbine."

Good luck with the horse and if turns out half as good as my FAVORITE horse in canada SILENT SWING, you will have my money bet on the horse, but I would really like you to put P Hudon back on the swin. He gives him a better driver than anyone.

I bet silent swing at the meadowlands against mister big and the horse tetrick was driving and paul silent swing so far back, he would have to have niatross to catch them 2 but when he did turn him loose he missed by half a length at 28 to 1 I beleive, and I have a 10 dollar tri that way, If p hudon was driving I would have cashed, anyway I love to watch SILENT SWING RACE and I sure I will love this one too.

GOOD LUCK
