David Rose Memorial Moves To CDP

Live harness racing on Sunday at Red Shores Charlottetown Driving Park will begin at 1 p.m. featuring the second leg of the David Rose Memorial, presented by Meridian Farms.

The first leg was staged at Red Shores Summerside last week with five divisions. The second leg of the series, which is for $3,500 claimers, will begin in race four at the CDP.

The Sunday feature has a great looking field in the Preferred Pace. Balanchine is working on his third win in a row for driver Brodie MacPhee. MacPhee has taken over the driving duties for Walter Cheverie, who is driving in Ottawa. The pacer stopped the clock in 1:55.3 with a :29-second closer. He’ll be tough. Proven Lover is also a top choice for Terry Gallant along with General Luckypercy and Ron Matheson.

The power-pack field also includes Every Day, Brief Bliss, BJ Cruiser, IDK, Carnivore and Allbentouttashape.
