Heston Blue Chip will have a new home for the 2026 breeding season.
Winbak Farm has announced that Heston Blue Chip will stand at Sugar Valley Farm in Delaware, Ohio starting in 2026.
“Heston Blue Chip will be a solid addition to the Ohio program,” said Joe McLead, co-owner of Sugar Valley Farm. “I am excited to work with Winbak Farm and all of his connections.”
Heston Blue Chip was the winner of the 2012 Dan Patch Award for three-year-old pacing colts against a tough crop that included A Rocknroll Dance, Bettors Edge, Michaels Power, Sweet Lou and Thinking Out Loud.
At three, Heston Blue Chip was the winner of a Breeders Crown elimination and the final (1:49.2). As the favourite in the final, he beat Bettors Edge, Michaels Power, Sweet Lou and Thinking Out Loud.
His three-year-old accolades also include winning a Cane Pace elimination, Empire Breeders Classic elimination and final (1:48.4), divisions of the Historic Stakes (1:49.2), Matron Stakes (lifetime best 1:48), a Meadowlands Pace elimination, four New York Sire Stakes divisions and a Progress Pace elimination (1:49.3 with a last quarter of :26.3) and the final (1:49).
Heston Blue Chip set track records and divisional records at Tioga Downs of 1:49.2 and 1:48.4, and at Dover Downs where he earned his lifetime best of 1:48.
Heston Blue Chip is sired by proven sire of stakes winners, American Ideal, and is a full brother to Sunfire Blue Chip, p, 3, 1:48.3f ($1,649,833), and half-brother to Carbine, p, 1:47.4s -'23 ($829,895). His maternal family includes Kikikatie, p, 3, 1:50.3 ($1,415,566), the dam of Rockin Image, p, 3, 1:48.2 ($903,424), and Kissin In The Sand, p, 3, 1:47.4 ($1,852,427).

Winbak Farm advises that Heston Blue Chip can cross with almost any mare that isn’t sired by American Ideal.
