Officials with the Central Ontario Standardbred Association have announced that, as part of the organization’s marketing campaign, COSA is offering free ‘trailer wraps’ to all of its members.

The monies received for the new initiative comes from the Standardbred Revenue Allocation (SRA) marketing funds. Officials with COSA have conveyed to Trot Insider that this type of advertising will have a broad reach throughout the province of Ontario.

Standardbred Canada’s Chairman of the Board, Mark Horner, was the first to have a wrap applied to one of his trailers. By all accounts, the undertaking has been deemed a success.

Longtime Standardbred horseman Jack Darling, who sits on the COSA Board, is thrilled with the initiative. He recently discussed the trailer wraps on social media.

“COSA has been entrusted with a substantial budget for promoting horse racing in Ontario,” Darling wrote. “This is the first installment of our first major project. We would like to see as many of these traveling billboards as possible on the roads advertising our great sport.

“If you are willing to have one of these wraps put on your trailer, contact COSA. The cost will be completely covered by COSA. We have several great action photos that you can pick from or you can provide your own personal photos. If we can get 30-40 or more of these travelling billboards out there, I think we can make a big splash.”

While speaking with Trot Insider, COSA President Bill O’Donnell stated that there are a great deal of wrap installers located across Ontario, therefore horsepeople that are interested in the initiative hopefully don’t have to travel too far to get their trailers wrapped.

If you would like more information on the initiative, please contact the COSA office at 905-854-2672 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or email [email protected] or [email protected].
