A $583,000 deal to sell the Pontiac Silverdome in Michigan was halted by an Oakland County judge this week, leaving open the possibility that an indoor racetrack and accompanying racino may be at the location
somewhere in the future.
A Wall Street Journal item states that it was agreed Monday, November 14 that the Silverdome would be sold to a family-owned Canadian company which had plans to convert the arena into a men’s and women’s professional soccer facility.
Attorney H. Wallace Parker, part of the Silver Stallion, made headlines in July of 2008 for announcing that his company was pursuing the idea of the indoor racetrack and entertainment destination.
