Artful Way rode a pocket trip to win the $19,500 Open Pace on Saturday, November 11 at Saratoga Raceway in 1:51.4.
The Jackie Greene-trained five-year-old sat off fractions of :26.3 and :55.4 established by pacesetter Deetzy. Moving towards the front heading to three-quarters, Artful Way and driver Frank Coppola Jr. took control as the 1-2 favourite and maintained control through the lane to win. Wildcats closed from last to finish second, while Chevals Clivesdale finished third.
Live racing continues on Sunday, November 12 at Saratoga with a 12:15pm first post.
