Amigo Volo won his third straight Preferred Trot at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Monday, Nov. 11, collecting the lion's share of the $36,000 purse in his triumph.

Amigo Volo and James MacDonald were third when the opening panel read :28, set by Safe Conduct (Chris Christoforou). After that first quarter, MacDonald moved the Meg Crone student to the top, where they remained through splits in :56.2 and 1:25 and all the way to the wire in 1:52.4 for a 1-1/4-length victory. Safe Conduct finished second and Fashion Frenzie (Louis-Philippe Roy) completed the triactor.

Pinske Stables and David J. Miller co-own the seven-year-old Father Patrick-Margarita Momma gelding, who won his 10th race in 24 starts this year, moving his seasonal sum to $280,706. In his career of 108 starts, Amigo Volo has banked $2,650,252 to go along with a record of 42-23-15. He paid $3.60 to win.

Ma Isabelle won the first installment of the Harvest Series for Ontario-sired three-year-old filly trotters, which carried a $17,000 purse. The series featured non-winners of $30,000 in 2024 as of Sept. 30 with no allowances.

Bob McClure and the Shane Weber student, Ma Isabelle, drew post nine in the field of 10. Despite their outer wing draw, McClure pointed the filly forward as they dashed diagonally towards the front. At the opening quarter, Hope N Glory was the first to set the tempo with a clocking of :29. Ma Isabelle followed in second. P L Rachel (Tyler Borth) pulled from the third position to take command of the timer and she posted the half in :58.1 and three-quarters in 1:28.1. Hope N Glory maintained the pocket position and Ma Isabelle stayed put following her tracks along the pylons. Down the stretch, Ma Isabelle found the racetrack room to get out and sprint home to win by 2-1/4 lengths in 1:58. Hope N Glory finished second with P L Rachel third.

Ma Isabelle (Alarm Detector-Fiery Manes) is owned by breeders Thomas and Elizabeth Rankin. She won her second race in 17 starts, moving her bankroll to $43,650. At 7-1 odds, she paid $15.60 to win.
