Trainer Nick Surick tied the record for most training wins on a program at Freehold Raceway on Saturday, November 11, winning six of the twelve races at the card. Andy Miller piloted all six of those winners and one more to win seven on the card.
Brett Pelling is the only other trainer to have won six races on the same card at Freehold, doing so back in April 1996. Andy Miller was one win away from John Campbell's driving record for most wins on a program, winning eight on a card in October 1986.
The pair scored victories with Esprit De Kayjay A ($2.60), winning in 1:57.1, Fox Valley Hermia ($3.60), winning in 1:57.4, Versado ($2.20), winning in 1:55, Piece Of The Rocks ($4.40), winning in 1:54.2, Machtu N ($3.20), winning the $8,000 Preferred Pace in 1:53.4, and My Dad Rocks ($4.40), winning in 1:57.2. Andy Miller's additional win was aboard Chris Marino-trainee Hezabluechipboy N ($2.60), winning in 1:56.2.
In total, Surick and Miller teamed up to win by a total of 27 lengths, with all of their winners going wire to wire exempting Piece Of The Rock, who paced uncovered and took control into the stretch to win.
