Even after a hard trip first-over for nearly three-quarters of a mile, not even a Comet could hold off the power of Justice at Windsor Raceway on Sunday night
.
In the night's feature, the $10,000 Preferred 2 Pace, Rob Sparkling Jr. hustled Allamerican Comet (the 'Comet' in question) to the lead from post 3 and blazed through fractions of :26.4, :56 and 1:24.3 while being hounded on the outside from the half-mile marker by driver Eric Carlson and Infinite Justice (the 'Justice').
At the head of the stretch it seemed that Justice would prevail over the Comet, but with Game Zac (Danny Johnson) poised on his back, ready to attack and Enough Hanover (Brad Kramer) loaded with what might be more than enough pace from the pocket, was Justice 'game' 'enough'?
The answer, in a word, was yes. Justice - Infinite Justice, that is - hit the wire first...and for the judges, the decision was easy. Infinite Justice by over a length and a quarter with Enough Hanover and Game Zac completing the triactor ticket.
Maria Kallen of West Bloomfield, MI. owns and Mike Watson trains Infinite Justice, now a 45-time winner with over $305,000 in the bank over his six-year harness racing career.
