In the first of two $12,500 Male paces, Carter Racing Stable's Rustys For Real notched his first win of the year as Bret Brittingham took the veteran five-year-old right to the front on the way to a 1:54 clocking. Real Town Guy (Tony Morgan) was second in front of Baby Teeth (Dylan Davis).
Art Brewer's Roll Call won the other $12,500 Male pace giving Ross Wolfenden his fourth trip to the winner's circle. Devils Embrace N (Eddie Davis Jr.) was second closing strongly in the stretch. Mythicalconnection (Jason Lynch) took show honors.
Corey Callahan, who drove five winners on the card, completed a string of three in-a-row driving Ken Dawson's 12-1 Premier Flash to a come-from-behind 1:53.1 victory in a $20,000 Delaware Claiming pace. Callahan sat seventh heading to the three quarters and then pulled the Village Jiffy gelding to the outside three wide to chop down the leaders in the stretch to post a 1-length triumph. Fun Fiesta (Montrell Teague) led until deep stretch and finished second in front of Mighty River A (Ross Wolfenden0 third.
Ross Wolfenden had a four-bagger piloting Jim Neal's Fountain Of Youth to victory in 1:54.1 in a second $20,000 Delaware Claiming pace. Whos Next (George Dennis) was runner-up. Jennaration (Roger Plante) was the show finisher.
The new Race and Sports Book features simulcasting of major thoroughbred and harness racing is featured seven days a week from 12 Noon until 12 Midnight. Simulcasting of major racing also is available one hour before live racing until after the Dover Downs races on racing days only.
