Good To Great was the sale topper of the fifth annual Winner's Circle Speed Sale, which was held on Thursday, Oct. 8 at the Michigan State University Pavilion for Agriculture and Livestock Education, in East Lansing, Michigan.
Selling as Hip 50, Good To Great was purchased for $58,571 ($41,000 USD) by Mark Gibbs. Consigned by LilliVin Farm, the Captain Victorious filly is out of the 2005 American National Stakes winner Do Me Good, who has produced six $100,000-plus winners. Good To Great's half siblings include Shady Caroline ($402,467 - 1:50.2s), Good Rockin ($397,886 - 1:49.4), Rockin Good ($283,564 - 1:48) and TS Raider II ($254,051 - 1:50s).
From 68 yearlings catalogued, 59 sold for $819,642 ($573,750 USD) at the 2026 Winner's Circle Speed Sale. The average price of $13,892 ($9,725 USD) was up 12.5 per cent from last year's sale when 89 yearlings sold for $1,068,333 ($769,200 USD).
