The winning started early and occurred often on Monday’s matinee program at Exhibition Park Raceway for trainer Ron Chamberlain, who finished the day with a four-win performance on the 13-race card.
Chamberlain teamed up with driver Lonny Stokes to take the opener with Dusty Lane Buster, who was second-placed-first in the six-horse affair. His free-legged stablemate, Escape The Night, rallied to a 2:02.4 score in Race 3 for driver Gilles Barrieau.
Maid En Paris went to the front from Post 7 and didn’t look back en route to a 2:02.2 triumph for Chamberlain and Barrieau. Choco Du Ruisseau gave Chamberlain the training Grand Slam thanks to his off-the-pace tally in Race 12. Mark Haig guided the son of Million Dollar Cam to the 2:01.1 win.
The four-win performance helped Chamberlain bump his lifetime win total to 351 while helping his purse earnings top $350,000.
