Six Pack has just missed in a number of major stakes this year but the four-year-old showed his affinity for the red clay in Lexington with another world record performance in the $145,000 Allerage Farms Open Trot on Saturday (Oct. 5).

Driver Ake Svanstedt settled Six Pack away into fourth behind Eurobond (Andy Miller), Lindy The Great and Crystal Fashion (David Miller). Eurobond hit the quarter in :27 and the half in :54.2 before facing Six Pack as the threat from first over. Eurobond had no reply for that challenge as Six Pack sprinted to the third station in 1:21.3. With Svanstedt keeping his horse to task through an eight-length cushion turning for home, Six Pack tripped the timer some six lengths the best in 1:49.2. Lindy The Great (Louis-Philippe Roy) edged out Mission Accepted (Yannick Gingras) for second.
The mile time established a new world record for four-year-old trotting stallions, shaving four-fifths of a second over the record shared by Chapter Seven, Eurobond and Southwind Chrome. Six Pack became harness racing's fastest three-year-old trotter with a 1:49.1 win at The Red Mile with his win in the 2018 Kentucky Futurity.
"He's been sick for a month but his last race he was good again, he came home fast. Today I thought we were going to break the [overall world] record but the first half was a little bit slow," said Svanstedt after the win. "He's a bit lazy in the front with no horses [around him]."
Six Pack (Muscle Mass - Pleasing Lady) is owned by Svanstedt along with Little Eknutssontrotting of New York, N.Y., Stall Kalmar Inc. and L Berg Inc. of Delray Beach, Fl. The winner's share of the purse from his 18th career victory places his career bankroll at $1,659,305.
